guys you should watch this. this is a music video from a band called 'OK GO' and it's titled 'here it goes'...i think. i bet these guys made a lot of money cos i dont think it cost a lot to make a video like that. but it's sure pretty damn amazing that they can do all that in ONE TAKE. fantastic. (must've been a workout!)

a perfect example

as some of you might know(namely, my entire class)...i dislike japan. it's like, we're both north poles. it's like, we're both south poles. no, we're not identical...it's just that we dont attract. that's all.

and i found a perfect example while reading a fiction-"Lost and Found" by Carolyn Parkhurst...besides all the artificiality and normalities that are so different from our wonderful malaysia(with the exception of great food...).

here's the extract:

Theme parks seem to be popular in Japan; in addition to Tokyo Disneyland and Universal Studios Japan, there's a Space World, a Sea Paradise, and an Adventure World. • well, in my opinion, i like dumplings the way they are in yum cha. and not things you sit on a merry-go-round.
• what the hell's a pot-sticker stadium?
• just checked- a chinese wonton dumpling which is pan-fried until brown on one side, then turned and simmered in a small amount of broth. sounds like wo tip...nice.
• i just realised they turned a chinese dumpling into an japanese amusement park. how sick is that? ...and i thought they didnt have enough land.

just for ur info...i got 630th out of 4769 with 4139 runners behind me(ok okla) with the time of 56m 13s...its quite sad but there's always next year ..

so anyway, as i was running, i listened to the iPod and it helped(it also had a stopwatch) but bcos i shuffled the songs, for three minutes i was stuck with "la camisa negra" by juanes (some latin/spanish/columbian song ) and then i started singing along in latin/spanish/columbian and i didnt noe that i was singing quite loud and so people started staring at me !! it was so funny that i started laughing while singing in some foreign language and then other people who starred laughed too and then the song ended...haih.. the best part was when "you're beautiful" came on...gosh...the part where blunt sings "my life is brilliant", i said "no joke!" sarcasticly and then the guy beside me sed "ok"...HAHA!

Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon : The greatest race on earth

so it says...it is really. well organised. so much better than malaysian marathons..first of all there are dozens and dozens and dozens...did i mention dozens? anyway...dozens and dozens of toilet booths!! everywhere!! they're EVERYWHERE! in malaysia, u can only find 10..or less or none

anyway...there was three categories : Full marathon(42km), half marathon(21km), quater marathon(10km)

so, bcos im only 14 years old, i can only join the 10km bcos the rest requires you to be 17years of age and above!

i ran as hard as i could, thru thick and thin..with my blinking iPod that reli helped! lets see,

- i managed to run the whole thing without stopping(big achievement for me)
- ran 10km under 1 hour! (55mins - its actually quite bad)
- i couldnt stop eating the free bananas (bananas nvr tasted so good after running)
- DRINK CHECKPOINTS are everywhere!! so i was nvr thirsty
- sprinted like a bloody jackass with no tail at the final 100m and then i couldnt feel myself...and then.......i ate more bananas!!
- got a medal!
- i can check my timing at the website bcos of the chip that i had on my shoe to detect my time!
- i haf to improve my time, but its nicer to haf someone else to come and join me :D please? anyone? next year? its only a 5-hour bus ride away:D

so thats it...overall, the 42km were all won by kenyans and africans as usual.. the total of participants for all the categories were : 33,000 people!

hey guys, it's been a long time since i've stated my favourite 11(or other 10) that i'd like to play with in a team. i think it was early this year(april-may season). and now lot's of things've changed and now i think that i'm physically, mentally, and emotionally ready(i dunno whether those are real requirements but wtvr) to do so.

i'm gonna go with the regular 4-4-2 formation...

why these people?? well...first of all i have to say that these people were picked based on how much i've played with them. so the people who dont play football with us, i'm sorry.

goalie: shu-yuan

well there's just no other keeper as good as shu-yuan. yu ric's good, but he's way out of shu's league. firstly i think shu-yuan has the most number of clean sheets ever among any of us and he is almost unbeatable. i have never been as frustrated in my life when playing against him as anything else. he's crazy. and good.

best achievements: unknown. a hell lot of clean sheets with us, i guess.

left-back: hugo

i know a LOT of you will be questioning this choice but the fact is ever since hugo switched postitions near the end of the year from post striker to defender, i've never had so many consecutive clean sheets in my life(cos he usually plays in the same team as me). he's a good defence leader and is never afraid to get in the tough tackles...and i cant say that much about the other defenders.

right-back: choon kiat

well if i was to appoint a samba wiz#3, it'd be this boy...lol(besides razif and rizal...). he's got some serious skills. especially since the mid-term. anyway he's natural position is a defender but he's real good at bringing up the ball. his passing is incredible too. that's probably why he played striker for interclass(which i thought was absurd...you looked a bit out of place dude...).

centre-back: alvin

there's no other player who has as good a technique at clearing balls as him. fantastic stuff. and there's this thing about alvin that he always manages to tackle people. somehow. hmm....So anyway this guy also has a good shot too. real powerful. he occasionally gets a goal in now and then which is really good for a defender.

centre-back: derrick

yes, i just snapped out of a LONG denial that derrick is one heck of a defender. i used to think he was an amazing midfielder but everyone said no. oh, well. anyway i played with quite a few times already and my god, he's good. he can play as a single defender and get the job done. as you all(my footballer friends) should know, he's a gifted player-born left-footed. and recently he's gotten a hang of using his right. which is fantastic. so yea, he's a damn good player. and he can bring the ball up too.

left midfield: william

ah, yes. this guy didnt get samba wiz#3 cos he IS the samba wiz. watch out ronny! william is by far, my favourite footballer in our form. if it werent for his being funny all the time, he'd be captain. william can dribble past any player from forms1~5 and is an extremely hard worker. he will never give up a chase for the ball unless you kick him on the chest(which happened once during co-corriculum). besides the CRAZY ball control, he has a real good shot and fantastic vision for passing. he too, recently mastered the use of the left leg and now can use both.

right midfield: khairi

this fella can really run man. from observations, he likes to make runs down the right and pull back so that's why he's my right-midfielder. and he's got an eye for goal now, too. he takes good shots from distance on the right too which is even a greater plus. i think i've never seen anyone else strike the ball from there as good as him besides faris so far. thing is, faris has a good shot but doesnt score. (message only to khairi and maybe shu-yuan: sterress.).

ah the funny weird guy. yes he's good. he's probably the physically strongest and fastest player in this team. he has a weird dribbling technique that works but i personally dont think it's the showy type of dribbling that looks cool. well, he's mainly my centre-midfielder cos he's the type of player who can control a game. good shooting from distance and tackling.

i'm not at all being bias here. but daniel has really come a long way and has proved to us all that he sucks at keeping. and rocks at attacking. daniel is good at getting goals and scoring in situations where normally...you dont score. he's a hard worker too and is always running down to help the defence. he is also a good passer and that's good for hendrich who likes the ball played up to him directly. and he's also realy, really good in the air too. he wins most of the headers from corners and when he gets to them, it's like there's a 50-50 chance of him scoring.

striker: Hendrich

hendrich will be the second attacker. he's very good on the ball and can always squeeze out of tight situations. call it skill, call it luck, whatever...it still works. i know y'all footballers complain that he doesnt pass and all but he is a REAL goalscorer. i mean, if you put him in any other position besides goalie(which he's okay at), i think he'd be lost. he has a keen eye for goal no matter where he is on the pitch and he has the ability to dribble close to goal. he doesnt need to pass. he's a striker.

this night was sweet. again, firstly i'd like to thank michael for arranging futsal. so yea, we went to astrodome(in summit) to play futsal again but the after-match was the funny part. so anyway...

SO, then we were going home. and khairi, derrick and I decided to run ahead of the others to go home earlier. and then khairi and derrick came up with this "brilliant" idea to scare the guys. so we went into one of the(quoting khairi,) "rapist alleys" and hid behind a proton before saying goodnight to an uncle(who was staring at us all weird). i couldnt remember the number plate of the proton but oh well...

then we wrapped our faces with our shirts and threw our bags under the proton. and we waitied.-
(whispered conversation...with loads of held back laughs)
Khairi: eh let's snatch their bags
Justin: yala...when they pass us we walk up to them slowly and grab them and run
after a while...a long while...

well...derrick, khairi and i ran 10 houses down the road and went to mike's for dinner. oh apparently, we never saw them pass us cos they got "lost"("we took the wrong turn"). damn.

duration of whole ordeal: 30 minutes (waiting+talking+laughing+running+etc.etc.). what a failure. it was fun though.

in singapore and cannot sleep...justin gave me the powa to put up the logo bcos he was getting tired and he still couldnt do it...but i did! cambodia

as promised, i have finally uploaded some pics of my trip to cambodia during the final exams(i uploaded two videos of me doing some stupid stuff earlier in the old blog). so here they are...

we went to tonle sap where the people actually lived on water. yes. tonle sap's supposed to be the biggest lake in SE asia. so if you looked around you, you wouldnt see anything but water...it was like i was in the sea or something. so yea, they lived on water. they called it the "floating village". there were floating churches, floating shops, houses and stuff. *fyi, the girl in the pic had to be paid to pose like that. she was begging for money. but at least this young entrepeneur knows how to make people feel good while begging(note the HUGE smile...)

top right says "artisans angkor". yea i went there. as a visitor, fyi. i cant remember if i returned that badge or if it's still in their toilet.

this was the night market..nothing else interested me enough to take photos. i bought some stuff for daniel, jeremy,hugo and eugene here. i got badges of a christmas elf flipping of the finger, two turtles humping each other till one of them blew out of it's shell, a cool black middle finger, and one that said "die, you nazi scum".

"yes! yes! now the whole world will know that i died being able to visit "ANGKOR WAT". yep, it was sweet. it's one of the 7 man-made wonders of the world. the "photographer's heaven". yep, it was one hell of a place. and the pic on the right shows a really really steep flight of steps into a temple. the steps were probably 13-15cm thick. and i'm proud to say that yes! i climbed the damn thing! piece of scary shit!

the pic to the total right is in the ruins where angelina jolie filmed Tomb Raider. there were trees growing on the buildings and trees growing on trees and tress growing on the ground. my gosh, there were trees everywhere! so, yea. you get the picture. there were a few trees. oh yea and i love the pic of the boy. he was playing with a really cool-looking caterpillar and he was trying kill it or something. i dunno. i just like the shape of his face. oh yea, angelina jolie adopted maddox from around here fyi.

oh yea, after you watch this video, you'll be wondering how the hell Japs can be so advanced and developed.

well, no. actually my dad and i were making a meal out of this. cos if you were in that structure and you beat your chest you'd here a resounding sound of the "thud". pretty cool if you havent been to china where you can talk into a wall and be heard a few kilometres away.

MUST always have good pressure. CLOTHES! yes, you'll need clothes too.

BUT, if your use of the word "bottomless" wasnt a metaphor for "very, very deep" or didnt mean that the pit of doom doesnt have a bottom, i say that you're probably gonna die a very dull and boring death. my advice: pray. and always visit this blog. to pass the time quicker. good luck.

*People...i don't like it when you pinch my nipples and give that squirmished look to me when that look is actually supposed to be on my face and when you say "got it!" like it's some huge accomplishment. cos it's not. i can play the piano. how's that for an accomplishment?? hah.*

what a wednesday! (pardon the lame title...couldnt think of anything else)

today we arranged to play football at school. we actually aranged for 4 teams to come but it ended up as 5(michael lost a team and billy brought friends). so here's a little review...

Teams:
Team Justin- Justin, Daniel, Jeremy, Shu-Yuan, Derrick(power...no?)
Team Faris- Faris, Khairi, Choon Kiat, Shatish(choony's friend...from vivekananda. no kidding! that school is from our sejarah form 2 text book!), Yu Ric
Team Yuming- Yuming, Frederick, Ajmal, Hasnul, Rizal, Li Siong(form 3s)
Team Billy- Billy and his Subang Utama School Team friends.(form 3s)
Team Daniel Teh- Daniel Teh, Shatish, Eugene Heng, Mohamad, Windy(2005 form 5 grads)

Game 1:
Team Justin vs Team Faris(4-0)
2 assists from justin and a tremendous effort gave daniel a well-deserved hat-trick(scored the first goal with the head, he did...good stuff). good defending from jeremy, derrick, and good keeping from shu-yuan earned the team a clean sheet. a goal from justin rounded of a good game for team justin near the end of the game.

Game 2:
Team Justin vs Team Billy(2-0)
another amazing performance from defenders jeremy and derrick gave the team a clean sheet. nothing much happened in the first half but in the beginning of the second, justin pounced on a thrown ball by shu-yuan to ram past the keeper. a good pass from daniel gave justin a brace for the day. (i hit the post three times after dribbling, too... :P).

Game 3:
Team Faris vs Team Yuming(3-0)
amazing game. the most entertaining match of the day, actually. an open goal miss by choon kiat on his left foot at the opening of the game, a penalty blasted high by faris, and post-hit-shots from everywhere by yuming. good stuff. shatish scored the opening goal which was his first goal on his first day at srikl. good job, man! the game looked like it was taken after faris scored a brace near the end of the game.

Game 4:
Team Faris vs Team Billy(0-1)
this was the most BORING match of the day(hugely attributed with the lack of goals...). anyway nothing much really happened until near the end of the game though team faris had more chances. great defending from choon kiat was spoilt when one of the SU players netted a messy goal in the last minute of the game.

Game 5:
Team Faris vs Team Justin(1-1)
We mixed up the teams for this one...
Team Justin: Justin, Derrick, Daniel, Rizal, Shatish
Team Faris: Faris, Shu-Yuan, Jeremy, Khairi, Choon Kiat
well...nothing much really happened. it was a bit of a...relaxed match. anyway rizal rammed the ball past shu-yuan early in the game(so much for your clean sheet, shu-yuan...hah.). but faris put in an equaliser near the end of the game.

Game 6:
Team '??' vs Team Daniel Teh(2-7)
Team '??'- Yuming, Billy, Li Siong, Rizal...Justin, Derrick, Daniel, Shu Yuan(we rotated cos it was 7 on 7)
i couldnt keep track of the goalscorers cos there were goals flying from everywhere. what i DO know, was that the proud scorers for team'??' in this match were Daniel(good job dude) and Khairi(who also scored one at the wrong end...if you know what i mean...).

so there. finally. over and done with. i'm at daniel's house with jeremy and i typed all this down on daniel's comp which CRASHED when i was about to publish this so i'd better hurry before this laptop does. see you! i'll catch up with you guys tonight for dug-out!

hey dudes

welcome to our new blog. we decided to change(yes, we made a decision TOGETHER...) blogs because blogdrive was deleting all our early posts and we thought that was not good.

SO, here we are. blogspot. it feels new. and nice. i always like'd moving. i like it when the car moves, you know? it feels like you're actually GOING somewhere. i like to move my fingers. that way i can play the piano and do what i'm doing now. i like it when old people move too. that way, i wont have to poke them when they sleep.
